Assistant Merchandise Planner
Wildfang is a fast-growing DTC fashion brand that focuses on creating a comfortable and inclusive shopping experience. The Assistant Merchandise Planner will support merchandising operations by analyzing sales trends, maintaining product data, and ensuring accurate reporting to drive business success.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify merchandising sales trends and surface key insights to the Product and Sales teams
- Support the Director of Product throughout the GTM process through size curve analysis, lifecycle tracking, and other planning metrics to drive proactive and reactive OTB decision-making
- Consistently analyze sell-through, in-stock performance, and other product sales metrics to share actionable insights with Product and Sales teams
- Support ad hoc reporting and business analysis as needed
- Own the updating, maintenance, and distribution of merchandising reports and tools
- Maintain data integrity across systems to ensure accurate and reliable reporting
- Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, organization, and timeliness
- Support the Director of Product in seasonal kickoff analysis and hindsight reporting through data gathering and analysis
- Own product data population, maintenance, and accuracy across PLM systems and merchandising tools, including SKU creation, attribute assignments, volumes, costing, and related updates
- Create, maintain, and upload product listings for marketplace vendors while partnering cross-functionally to gather required product information
- Monitor marketplace data flow, sales, returns, and SLAs, proactively addressing issues and responding to vendor needs in a timely manner
- Demonstrate accountability, proactive ownership, and strong attention to detail in all areas of responsibility
Skills
- PDX Based
- 1–2 years of experience in retail, merchandising, planning, or related field (internships applicable)
- Proficient in Excel and Google Suite
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Analytical mindset with comfort working with data and numbers
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in fashion, product, and retail business
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Finance, or related field welcomed, but not required
