[Remote] Field Service Wind Technician I
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Pearce is a leading technology-enabled provider of asset management solutions for mission-critical electromechanical infrastructure throughout North America. They are seeking an Entry Level Wind Technician I to perform daily tasks such as cleaning, organizing, and minor service or repairs to wind turbine generators and related equipment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct maintenance of equipment (fueling, lubrication, etc.)
- Operate a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Renewables Employee handbook and insurance requirements
- Complete and maintain required company and client documentation and records, using computer-based service reporting tools and procedures
- Clean and organize tools, equipment, and work area including sweeping, wiping oil, grease, solvent spills
- Perform other daily work requirements as directed by supervisor with general supervision
Skills
- Graduated from Accredited Trade School or relevant mechanical or electrical experience
- Work within confined space areas, such as inside a wind turbine nacelle
- Knowledge of various hand and power tools
- Work meets customer and company standards required of position and job, including following project schedules
- Ability and willingness to climb a wind turbine vertically at least 300 feet
- Maintain a weight between 120 and 280 pounds, including clothing and boots, for OSHA safety compliance
- Lift and move equipment as needed (more than 50 pounds)
- Work in an indoor or outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions with blowing pollen, dust, and grasses
