Remote Precision Agriculture Specialist

This role is entirely remote, allowing you to contribute to the advancement of modern farming practices from your own location. You will be instrumental in helping farmers optimize crop yields, reduce resource consumption, and improve operational efficiency through the strategic use of technology. Responsibilities: Analyze agricultural data from various sources, including GPS, sensors, drone imagery, and farm management software. Develop and implement customized precision agriculture plans for clients, focusing on variable rate application, yield monitoring, and soil sampling. Provide technical support and training to farmers on the use of precision agriculture equipment and software. Evaluate the effectiveness of precision farming strategies and recommend adjustments for continuous improvement. Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices in precision agriculture and data science. Collaborate with agronomists, sales teams, and product developers to ensure client success. Troubleshoot issues related to data collection, software integration, and equipment calibration. Prepare reports and presentations on farm performance, resource use efficiency, and ROI of precision ag initiatives. Assist in the development of new precision agriculture solutions and services. Champion the adoption of data-driven farming techniques among agricultural producers. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in precision agriculture, crop science, or agricultural technology. Strong understanding of crop physiology, soil science, and nutrient management. Proficiency with precision agriculture hardware (GPS, VRT controllers, sensors) and software (farm management platforms, data analysis tools). Experience with GIS software and remote sensing data analysis (e.g., drone imagery). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet project deadlines in a remote setting. Passion for sustainable agriculture and technological innovation. Familiarity with various crop types and growing regions is a plus.
