AI Architect – Agentic Systems

Remote · USA Full-time New today

Blanc Labs is a premier partner for global enterprises, leading the way in digitization, automation, and the development of next-generation digital products and services. Our expertise in digital transformation powers businesses to accelerate service delivery, drive customer engagement, and foster growth. Are you ready to architect the future of AI? Blanc Labs is looking for a visionary AI Architect to lead the design and delivery of production-grade agentic systems on Azure. This is not a proof-of-concept role, you will own the architecture of real, scalable AI platforms that power our enterprise clients across North and South America. You will bridge cutting-edge AI innovation with the rigor of production engineering, shaping how organizations think about and deploy intelligent automation. This is a career-defining opportunity to work at the frontier of AI, where your decisions will directly drive client transformation, business outcomes, and the next generation of digital products. What You'll Be Doing Design and deliver production-grade agentic AI systems on Azure AI Foundry, ensuring solutions go well beyond PoC and into scalable, enterprise-ready platforms. Architect end-to-end pipelines leveraging Azure OpenAI, vector search, tool-calling patterns, and LangChain / Semantic Kernel for orchestration. Define and enforce REST API design standards, JSON schema definitions, and event/message-based integration patterns across AI workloads. Lead the evolution of solutions from MVP to productized platforms, including refactoring, hardening, and meeting non-functional requirements around performance, reliability, observability, and security. Deploy and oversee scalable Azure infrastructure (AKS, App Service, Functions, or equivalent), collaborating with DevOps/SRE teams to define runbooks, SLIs/SLOs, and monitoring frameworks. Evaluate and integrate emerging agent frameworks and patterns (MCP, A2A) to continuously modernize platform capabilities. Use LangSmith or equivalent tooling to implement tracing, evaluation, and quality assurance across agentic pipelines. Document architectures, sequence diagrams, and interaction flows using Visio, Figma, or similar tools; facilitate collaborative design sessions using Mural/Miro with distributed teams. Partner with cross-functional and multi-program teams to ensure platform components are reused and versioned effectively across products. Support incident management and post-mortems, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement in live production contexts. What You'll Need to Be Successful Core Technical & Architectural Experience At least one end-to-end production AI or agentic system delivered on Azure, not just experimentation. Deep understanding of Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI Service, vector search, and tool-calling–based architectures. Hands-on experience with LangChain and/or Semantic Kernel for orchestration, and LangSmith or equivalent for tracing and evaluation. Familiarity with emerging agent frameworks and patterns (MCP, A2A), with demonstrated experimentation in real workflows. Strong foundation in REST API design and integration, JSON schema definition, and event/message-based architecture patterns. Productization, Scale & Operations Proven track record taking solutions from MVP to productized platform, with experience in refactoring, hardening, and addressing non-functional requirements. Hands-on deployment experience with scalable Azure environments: AKS, App Service, Azure Functions, or equivalent services. Experience collaborating with DevOps/SRE/Operations teams to define runbooks, SLIs/SLOs, logging, and monitoring for production systems. Familiarity with incident management and post-mortems in live production environments. Tooling & Collaboration Daily working proficiency with GitHub (repositories, PRs, GitHub Actions) and Jira (backlog management, boards, epics). Exposure to ServiceNow for change and incident management, including working with Change/ITSM processes. Ability to document complex architectures, sequence diagrams, and interaction flows using Visio, Figma, or similar tools. Comfortable driving collaborative design sessions using Mural, Miro, or whiteboard tools with distributed, multi-timezone teams. Experience operating within multi-program environments where shared platform components are reused and versioned across multiple teams and products. Apply To This Job
