  • Enter and maintain approved exemption certificates in arenaflex’s customized tax management software, guaranteeing accurate application to future transactions.
  • Calculate and process sales tax credits based on validated exemption documentation, collaborating with finance teams to reconcile accounts.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams—including Finance, Sales, and Operations—to deliver consistent, high‑quality service and resolve complex tax‑related inquiries.
  • Document all customer interactions and case resolutions in the CRM system, maintaining a clear audit trail for compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Stay current on evolving tax regulations in the United States and Canada, sharing insights with internal stakeholders to refine policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of training materials and best‑practice guides for fellow support specialists, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer service, preferably within a finance or tax‑focused environment.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both languages.
  • Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail, especially when reviewing legal documents and financial data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex tax concepts in plain language.
  • Highly organized, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines during overnight shifts.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Experience with sales tax exemption processes, tax software platforms, or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Familiarity with U.S. state sales tax regulations and Canadian GST/HST rules.
  • Previous exposure to a fast‑paced, high‑volume B2B environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently during overnight hours while maintaining high engagement and morale.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, with a willingness to pursue certifications or training related to tax compliance.
