Job Summary:

We're seeking an experienced and compassionate Hotline and Customer Care Operator who can communicate effectively in Japanese. As a mental health support specialist, you'll provide critical support to individuals in crisis, manage customer queries, and ensure the smooth flow of referrals. If you're a strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide psychological first aid and crisis counselling to crisis callers using English, Cantonese/Mandarin, and Japanese (strongly preferred)

  • Ensure the resolution of crisis situations according to the available protocols
  • Oversee the operation and management of wellness hotline services, including attending to calls, de-escalating/escalating situations, and intervening as needed
  • Support the clinical team in administrative processes and psychological case management
  • Support operations in other day-to-day tasks, such as desktop research, data entry, and easy translations as needed (approximately 10-20% of time)

Ability to speak Japanese and/or Cantonese/Mandarin

  • Some knowledge of Psychology is preferred but not compulsory, as training will be provided
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate professionally, even under pressure
  • Willingness to learn and work with tools needed to deliver the work
  • Commitment to upholding the highest standards of privacy and ethics in handling sensitive data
