This role is ideal for an expert who is passionate about leveraging data and technology to optimize crop production, enhance resource efficiency, and promote environmental stewardship. You will be at the forefront of developing and deploying advanced agronomic strategies that integrate cutting-edge technologies such as IoT sensors, drone imagery, variable rate application, and predictive analytics. Your responsibilities will encompass analyzing complex field data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to growers, supporting the development of new precision agriculture tools and services, and collaborating with research and development teams to refine existing methodologies. You will also be tasked with creating comprehensive agronomic models, evaluating the efficacy of different farming practices, and ensuring the successful implementation of precision agriculture solutions across diverse agricultural operations. This position requires a deep understanding of soil science, plant physiology, crop management, and the application of data science in agriculture. You will serve as a key technical advisor, guiding clients and internal stakeholders on best practices for maximizing yield and minimizing environmental impact. The ability to communicate complex technical information effectively to a wide range of audiences, from farmers to executives, is crucial. This role demands a proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently in a remote capacity. You will contribute to shaping the future of agriculture through data-driven decision-making. Qualifications: Master's or Ph.D. in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or a closely related field. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in agronomy, with at least 5 years focused on precision agriculture techniques and technologies. Demonstrated expertise in data analysis, interpretation, and the use of GIS, remote sensing, and statistical software. Proficiency with farm management software and precision agriculture platforms. Strong understanding of crop physiology, soil health, and nutrient management. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to lead projects and mentor junior team members. Experience in developing and delivering technical training.
