Key Responsibilities

  • Answer patient calls regarding Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and research balances to ensure accurate and timely resolution
  • Manage patient refunds and process patient payments with precision and attention to detail
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, clients, and guests, ensuring a positive and empathetic experience
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex patient issues and improve overall customer satisfaction
  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments and regulatory changes, applying knowledge to improve patient outcomes and reduce administrative burdens

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in medical billing and collections, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service
  • Current knowledge of medical billing and reimbursement for commercial insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced environment
  • Thorough understanding of EOBs and the ability to effectively communicate with patients via phone and writing, ensuring clear and concise explanations
  • Extensive attention to detail, organization, and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands
  • Self-motivated, team player with a positive attitude, able to work collaboratively with internal teams to achieve shared goals
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve complex patient issues
