You will be responsible for providing personalized support to each participant, taking the time necessary to address their unique needs and concerns.

Key Responsibilities

As a Seasonal Benefit Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional support to client plan participants through phone, chat, and message center inquiries
  • Guiding participants through the enrollment process and assisting with updates to their health care and/or pension plans
  • Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of our clients' needs and challenges
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to resolve complex issues and provide timely solutions
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of participant interactions and issues
  • Participating in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this position, you will need to possess:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly assess participant concerns and develop effective solutions
  • Ability to work in a structured environment, adhering to schedules, protocols, and standards of excellence
  • High attention to detail, multi-tasking capabilities, and strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to navigate multiple computer windows while on phone or instant messaging calls
  • Self-motivation and autonomy to work effectively in a virtual environment, including online training and interactions with managers and supervisors via chat
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, with a typing speed of at least 30 words per minute
  • Previous experience in a customer service-related field, with a high school degree required (Associate or Bachelor's degree a plus)
  • Knowledge of health and welfare and/or defined benefit pension plans, as well as experience working in a call center environment, are desirable but not required
  • Spanish language skills are also a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of benefits administration software and systems
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
