Shopify Developer Needed - Interactive, Scroll-Based Homepage (Not a Basic Template Site)

Remote · USA Full-time New today

I'm the founder of Chill Pill Charms- a fast-growing, viral sensory product brand built around interactive iSpy-style keychains. These are tiny, collectible “worlds” inside capsule-shaped keychains designed to be engaging, nostalgic, and calming. This is not a typical ecommerce brand. The experience is everything to me. My content performs extremely well on Instagram and Facebook because it’s interactive, curiosity-driven, and visually satisfying. I want my website to reflect that same feeling- not a flat, standard Shopify layout. Please view my brand and content here: Instagram: @ChillPillCharms I already have a Shopify theme installed. I am *not* looking for a full build from scratch. I need someone to customize my homepage so it feels more like an interactive gallery experience (I want the overall feel of my site to feel fun and not static/sterile) What I’m looking for: A developer experienced with Shopify (Liquid, CSS, JS) Ability to create layered sections (text overlapping images, depth) Scroll-based effects (parallax, subtle motion, visual transitions) Someone who understands how to make a page feel dynamic, not static Strong visual taste - not just technical execution Homepage vision: The homepage should feel: immersive playful curiosity-driven slightly chaotic (in a fun way) like you want to keep scrolling to “discover” more Ex: overlapping elements movement as you scroll sections that don’t feel like rigid blocks a “gallery” or “exploration” vibe rather than a standard store Other pages: Shop page can remain clean and functional (this is for conversion) My brand story can be integrated into the homepage Important: I am *not* looking for: a basic theme setup a generic Shopify store a “clean corporate” aesthetic I need someone who can help elevate the existing theme into something visually engaging and unique. To apply, please include: Examples of Shopify sites you’ve customized (especially with motion or layered design) Any work with scroll effects or interactive elements A quick note on how you would approach making a homepage feel more dynamic Budget: Flexible for the right fit, but this is a customization project - not a full build. Looking for entry level to intermediate. IMPORTANT: I have a deadline of May 7th due to a campaign partnership launching with a big brand! So I am looking for someone with a fairly open schedule! Thank you!! Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
