Grant Thornton has established a Data & Analytics function under the Chief Technology Officer. This team is leading a firmwide transition to a modern cloud data warehouse built on Snowflake, supporting ongoing acquisitions, global system integrations, and a largescale ERP rollout. Grant Thornton is hiring three (3) midlevel Data Engineers to support this transformation. The Data Engineer will design, build, and support data pipelines and integrations that move enterprise data into Snowflake and downstream analytics platforms. This role supports largescale data warehouse migrations, countrybycountry global integrations, and continued system onboarding tied to acquisitions. This is a handson, deliveryfocused role requiring strong SQL and Python skills, experience with modern cloud data platforms, and the ability to collaborate closely with other engineers, analysts, and project teams. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines, primarily into Snowflake
  • Integrate data from enterprise systems including Oracle HCM, Dynamics CRM, and ERP platforms (SAP public cloud rollout beginning later this year)
  • Support ongoing global integrations (Ireland already live; multiple additional countries in progress)
  • Perform data mapping, transformation, and validation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries and Pythonbased data transformations
  • Support modular data modeling and transformation frameworks (e.g., dbt)
  • Monitor data pipelines and resolve issues related to performance, data quality, and reliability
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and architects as part of a teambased delivery model

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of overall experience in data engineering, including experience with:
  • Data modeling
  • ETL/ELT
  • Data integration
  • Master data management/entity management
  • Data quality
  • Data warehousing
  • Analytics (prescriptive and predictive)
  • Business intelligence
  • Data science
  • Data governance
  • Strong handson experience with:
  • SQL
  • Python
  • Snowflake

- Some exposure to data analysis or analytics use cases (working with analysts, supporting reporting)
