Senior IT Cloud Administrator

Voltus is seeking a Senior IT Cloud Administrator to join our Information Technology team — a small, senior-level group responsible for securing and operating the cloud infrastructure of a 100% remote, globally distributed organization. This role is strategic and hands-on: you will own critical workstreams in cloud security, compliance, SaaS governance, and IT operations, working closely with the Senior IT Manager in a fast-moving, audit-ready environment. \n

Responsibilities

Support SOC 2 Type II audit cycles, including evidence collection, control walkthroughs, and automation of evidence workflows. Conduct routine Vendor Risk Assessments (VRAs) for third-party applications. Implement technical controls for corporate Data Retention policies for information systems. Coordination with Legal and Compliance to manage legal holds and govern critical systems such as Google Workspace Shared Drives. Operate centralized logging and SIEM capabilities across IT-owned systems (Google Workspace, JumpCloud, SentinelOne, and AssetSonar), including log source onboarding, log forwarding architecture, and data integrity, in shared responsibility with the Security team for alert configuration, detection design, and incident response. Onboarding and offboarding in process across multiple IT systems . Support governance guidelines and procedures in accordance with IT policies. Support the Employee Service Desk team by troubleshooting escalated incidents and identifying root causes to update guidelines. Execute, monitor, and control software patching and data backup procedures. Identify and evaluate new IT tools that enhance Confidentiality, Availability, and Integrity, with a focus on automation. Coordinate end-user requirements with other Information System Owners. Key Skills and AttributesRequired: Computer Science degree or equivalent. 5+ years of experience administering Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) in an enterprise environment. 5+ years of experience administering cloud-first IT systems. Experience administering Slack. Experience administering an Identity Provider (IdP), including SSO and MFA governance in a cloud-first environment. Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) and endpoint policy enforcement. JumpCloud is preferred. Experience with modern endpoint security and XDR (Extended Detection and Response). SentinelOne Singularity is preferred. Experience troubleshooting issues across Windows and macOS systems. Experience in integrating disparate Information Systems. Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and modern automation/integration platforms. Experience implementing IT governance in organizations. Experience developing and tracking IT metrics and KPIs. Strong written and verbal communication skills in US English, including the ability to produce technical documentation and deliver end-user training. Desired: ITIL 4 Foundation certification. Agile Project Management certification or equivalent studies. Experience with SentinelOne Singularity platform administration. Experience in SaaS financial operations (FinOps) or vendor negotiation to optimize SaaS spend. Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Azure. Experience in troubleshooting Android and Apple iOS systems. Experience maintaining and monitoring small-scale AWS services (e.g., EC2, VPN, proxy) for operational integrity. Familiarity with IT operations across multiple time zones. \n$80,000 - $115,000 a year Base pay is $80,000-$115,000 USD annually, commensurate with experience, with 10% bonus paid annually, and equity.
