Job Description

Summary: Must be bilingual in Spanish Work Schedule - Work from Home after training M-F 9-5:30Position Responsibilities Accurately enters patient demographics information and insurance data in the computer as documented. Verifies insurance information, collect referrals and authorizations, and/or other forms as documented. Efficiently schedules appointments, recording them as documented and following practice policy. Ensures that authorizations are obtained prior to scheduling procedures/testing Consistently demonstrates a clear understanding of departmental needs and job functions as assigned by department Manager and/or immediate supervisor. Demonstrates flexibility as well as ability to perform multiple functions within the practice to increase departmental efficiency. Notify supervisor of any problems pertaining to processing the patients for upcoming testing/procedures. Demonstrates the knowledge necessary to communicate with other offices in an effort to accurately and efficiently schedule testing/procedures. Answers telephone promptly; preferably by the third ring. Ensure calls are identified and properly categorized in order to forward to appropriate area within office timely and efficiently. Demonstrates proper telephone etiquette when receiving, transferring, and placing calls on hold. Hold times are to be kept to a minimum. Repeats key information when writing down messages to ensure accuracy.

Qualifications
