Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry/Intake Specialist to join our team in Scottsdale, AZ. As a Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry/Intake Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy, from data entry and intake to patient care and support. You will work closely with our team of pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform data entry and intake functions, including processing patient information, medication orders, and insurance claims

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic information, medication lists, and treatment plans
  • Verify patient information and medication orders to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Process and manage patient prescriptions, including filling, packaging, and shipping
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support, including answering questions, addressing concerns, and providing education on medication use and side effects
  • Collaborate with our team of pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and support
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new processes and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety and regulatory standards

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher in a related field preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a related field
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, including data entry, intake, and patient care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications

Preferred Qualifications

* Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or Certified Clinical Pharmacy Specialist (CCPS)

  • Experience working in a specialty pharmacy or with patients with complex medical conditions
  • Strong knowledge of electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare software applications
  • Experience with quality improvement initiatives and process development
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to mentor and support colleagues
