Part-Time Research Evaluator for Dementia Care in Assisted Living Settings

Overview:

The research team at Penn State Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing is hiring part-time research evaluators for projects focused on dementia care in assisted living settings.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with in-person recruitment, consent process, and screening of research participants.

  • Perform research procedures at assisted living settings including data collection, data entry, data management, and maintaining data protections.
  • Assist with other research work as assigned.
  • Attend scheduled team meetings (in-person and online).

Qualifications:

• Complete the COVID-19 vaccination at least 2 weeks prior to employment as required by clinical research sites.

  • Be able to work in person at several clinical research sites in central PA including but not limited to State College, Harrisburg, Hershey, and nearby locations.
  • Be available for on-site data collection and other research activities during the spring, summer, and fall of 2025.
  • Complete human subject research training as directed.
  • Be able to collaborate with the PI and research team to meet project deadlines.
  • Be able to work independently to keep the project on track.
  • Preference may be given to individuals with experience in healthcare or related field, experience with older adults with cognitive impairment or in long-term care settings, and prior research experience (e.g., data collection and management).

Benefits:

• The research evaluator will work approximately 15 hours a week with the possibility for more hours depending on the project schedule and will be compensated at $16.00 - $20.00 per hour depending on the experience Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
