Frontend Web Developer

Remote · USA Full-time New today

Frontend Web Developer (Contract – Remote) Quantum Forge is a web development company building clean, fast websites for small businesses. We're looking for a reliable frontend developer to join us as a contractor and take on projects independently from start to finish. What you'll be doing: You'll receive project briefs directly from us and build out simple 1–5 page websites with minimal hand-holding. We trust our contractors to manage their own time and deliver quality work on deadline. What we're looking for:

  • Solid proficiency in HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript — you can build without a framework
  • Ability to write clean, responsive code from scratch
  • Strong enough fundamentals that you're not dependent on AI tools — though using AI to assist your workflow is welcome and encouraged
  • Self-directed and comfortable working independently with minimal oversight
  • Good communication when questions or blockers come up

What this is NOT:

  • This is not a design role — assets and direction will be provided
  • This is not a full-time position — work volume varies by project load

Details:

  • Contract / 1099
  • Remote
  • Hourly or per-project rate (negotiable based on experience)

A note on work volume: We're growing steadily and plan to keep you busy, but we want to be upfront — this is contract work, and there may occasionally be a slow month with little to no projects. We don't expect that to be the norm, but we'd rather you know going in than be caught off guard. One more thing, and we mean it: We're a small operation and we care about who we work with. We're looking for someone who's honest, takes pride in their work, and treats people right — clients, teammates, even the guy at the gas station who's 47 cents short. We want to grow with our team, not replace them over time. Quantum Forge is built on simple values: good work, good people, good business. We're not complicated about it. If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you. If that sounds cheesy, we're probably not a good fit. Pay: From $40.00 per hour Application Question(s):

  • Answer this however feels right to you. Surprise us.

You're driving and you back into a parked car in an empty lot. Nobody saw it. Do you: A) Leave before anyone notices B) Take a photo of the damage for your own records. Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
