Job Description
Entrepreneurial Publisher – Men’s Journal (Contract) Location: Remote. Type: Independent Contractor (RPM-based). Requirement: Must operate through an LLC. Men’s Journal is seeking an Entrepreneurial Publisher to build and scale a high-performing, trending news team focused on men’s lifestyle, culture, and gear. This is a revenue-driven role for an entrepreneur who understands digital publishing, audience growth, and performance monetization.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, and manage a team of freelance trending news writers
- Develop and execute a daily publishing strategy optimized for traffic and RPM
- Assign, edit, and publish timely, high-interest men’s content at scale
- Monitor performance metrics and optimize coverage for revenue growth
- Identify emerging trends and search opportunities relevant to Men’s Journal readers
- Ensure editorial quality, brand alignment, and compliance with guidelines and SEO best practices
Qualifications
- Experience in digital media, trending news, or performance-driven publishing
- Proven ability to manage freelance writers
- Strong understanding of traffic analytics
- Knowledge of men’s lifestyle content and audience interests
- Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort with performance-based compensation
Contract Details
- RPM-based revenue share; no guaranteed salary
