Lead Music Composer
Our client, a renowned digital media and entertainment studio based in Columbus, Ohio, US , is seeking an exceptionally talented Lead Music Composer for a series of high-profile interactive projects. This role is fully remote, allowing you to create compelling musical scores from your own studio. You will be responsible for composing original music that enhances the emotional narrative and overall experience of our games and digital content. Your duties will include collaborating with creative directors and game designers to understand the artistic vision, creating musical themes, ambient soundscapes, and dynamic scores that adapt to gameplay. You will also oversee a team of freelance composers, providing direction, feedback, and ensuring adherence to project timelines and stylistic consistency. The ideal candidate will have a proven portfolio showcasing a wide range of musical styles and a strong understanding of music theory, orchestration, and digital audio workstations (DAWs). Experience in composing for video games, film, or interactive media is essential. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music Composition, or equivalent professional experience, is required. Excellent communication and organizational skills are necessary for effective remote collaboration and project management. You should be adept at working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines while maintaining artistic integrity. This is a contract position with the potential for ongoing work on future projects.
