About the job Director, Medical Affairs | Innovative Biotech Hartmann Young are partnering with a privately held, clinical‑stage biotech advancing a novel therapeutic platform with the potential to address significant unmet medical needs. This is a senior, hands‑on Medical Affairs leadership role within a lean organisation, offering the opportunity to build and shape Medical Affairs strategy from the ground up. The position is ideally based in Dallas, though remote working across the U.S. is possible for the right candidate. This role will be highly visible and strategic, with close interaction across Clinical Development, Regulatory, and external stakeholders. You will

  • Build and lead Medical Affairs strategy across clinical and late‑stage programs
  • Serve as a scientific and medical expert for internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Establish and manage key opinion leader (KOL) relationships
  • Support clinical trial execution through investigator engagement and scientific exchange
  • Lead medical content development (scientific platforms, slide decks, publications)
  • Oversee medical input into regulatory interactions and filings
  • Develop Medical Affairs infrastructure appropriate for a growing biotech
  • Partner closely with Clinical, Regulatory, and Commercial planning functions

What We’re Looking For

  • MD, PhD, or MD/PhD in a relevant life sciences or medical discipline
  • Significant Medical Affairs experience within small or emerging biotech companies
  • Strong background in clinical‑stage assets (early to mid‑phase)
  • Proven ability to operate strategically and hands‑on
  • Experience engaging KOLs and supporting investigator‑led research
  • Comfortable building processes in a resource‑lean environment
  • U.S. work authorisation required
