Proofreader - REMOTE
Job Overview The Mamaroneck Union Free School District is seeking a highly detail-oriented and skilled Proofreader to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. As a Proofreader, you will be responsible for reviewing and editing written content to ensure accuracy, grammar, and consistency. This is an entry-level opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to contribute to the success of our district.
Responsibilities
- Review and edit written content for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and consistency
- Verify facts and accuracy of information in written content
- Collaborate with writers and designers to ensure content meets district standards
- Develop and maintain style guides and formatting standards
- Meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in proofreading or editing
- Excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
