Job title: Senior System Analyst

Location: Toronto, Ontario OR Winnipeg, Manitoba.

12-month contract.

Salary: $90 - $95/hr depending on experience.

Reporting to the Application Delivery Leader, the Senior Systems Analyst (SAN) is responsible for the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for assigned delivery items. As a contributing member of a 3-person SAN team, you will work across requirements gathering, solution design, build, testing, and post-production support for Advisor Compensation policy and model updates.

What You’ll Do

Delivery & Operations

  • Own end-to-end delivery of assigned functional changes and initiatives
  • Support operational needs during work hours, including investigations and workarounds
  • Participate in quarterly release cycles, following SDLC processes in JIRA & Confluence
  • Adhere to release checklists, timelines, and team delivery milestones

Collaboration & Governance

  • Participate in weekly business triage meetings for intake, prioritization, and status updates
  • Collaborate weekly with the SAN team on tasks, assignments, and project delivery
  • Work closely with Systems Architects, Developers, and Business Representatives to deliver effective solutions

Analysis & Design

  • Define, maintain, and own systems analysis and design deliverables
  • Investigate business problems and opportunities, including impact analysis and SQL-based data analysis
  • Partner with developers during design and build to ensure solutions meet business requirements
  • Contribute to the design, configuration, testing, and implementation of:
  • Varicent Incentive Compensation Management (ICM)
  • SAP solution components (as per architecture)

Testing & Implementation

  • Provide UAT support for owned deliverables
  • Ensure high-quality implementation through effective testing and validation
  • Communicate clearly with business sponsors, leaders, and project teams throughout delivery

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Hands on experience with the Varicent Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) cloud platforms or other incentive compensation platforms.
  • Experience across all phases of the project life cycle
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Database table design and maintenance
  • Writing complex SQL queries and procedures
  • Analyzing large datasets, preferably within investment or insurance environments
  • Ability to produce clear, concise documentation aligned with delivery frameworks and standards
  • Strong understanding of:
  • SDLC methodologies
  • Business Analysis practices
  • Process modeling and design tools

Ability to:

  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Assess system and functional impacts
  • Challenge technical designs constructively to ensure business needs are met
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
