Instructional Designer/ eLearning Developer
1 JOB OVERVIEW As an Instructional Designer / eLearning Developer at Free Your Time, you’ll create SCORM-compliant training that transforms technical and compliance content into clear, engaging learning experiences. This is a remote position, giving you flexibility while still collaborating closely with colleagues and stakeholders. You’ll manage the full design lifecycle—from concept and scripting to development, QA, and delivery—ensuring each module is high-quality, accessible, and aligned with industry standards. 2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop SCORM-compliant eLearning modules using Articulate Rise and Storyline 360.
- Build animations, videos, and multimedia assets using Vyond, Canva, AI narration tools, and Vimeo.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to create scripts, storyboards, and learning flows.
- Adapt and localise training for learners in technical and compliance-heavy industries.
- Package modules for LMS deployment (Moodle preferred), ensuring accessibility standards are met.
- Apply instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning principles.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality and consistency.
- Conduct internal QA reviews and integrate stakeholder feedback.
- Stay updated with tools, technologies, and trends in digital learning.
3 QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Multimedia Arts, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in eLearning design and development, with a portfolio of SCORM-compliant modules.
- Proficiency in Articulate 360 (Rise + Storyline), Canva, and Vyond.
- Strong English writing and communication skills.
- Knowledge of LMS platforms (Moodle preferred).
- Experience in safety, compliance, or technical training highly regarded.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Certification in instructional design tools or platforms is a plus.
