We are currently seeking a Remote Medical Record Specialist to join our team in Blaine, MN. As a Remote Medical Record Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and organizing medical records for our clients. This is a part-time position, with the option to work remotely from your home office. Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and organize medical records according to established guidelines and procedures
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of records by verifying patient information and medical history
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of medical records at all times
  • Identify and report any discrepancies or missing information in medical records
  • Communicate with healthcare providers and other parties to obtain missing information or clarify record details
  • Utilize electronic medical record systems to input and retrieve information
  • Follow HIPAA regulations and company policies for handling medical records
  • Meet productivity and quality standards set by the company
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on industry changes and advancements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with medical records in a healthcare setting
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in using electronic medical record systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote setting
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical record management best practices
