This role partners with and supports leaders across Investment Management as part of a small, professional and close-knit Business Finance team, operating under the direction of the Head of Investment Management Business Finance and CFO for Investment Management.This is not a reporting role. It is a commercially focused, analytically rigorous position designed to influence capital allocation, resource deployment, pricing, investment capability expansion and long-term enterprise value creation.This role is distinctive:

  • Direct exposure to senior investment leadership.
  • Influence over a global, multi-strategy investment platform.
  • Strategic and analytical depth way beyond traditional FP&A.
  • Operating at the interface of finance, commercial strategy, performance and resource allocation.
  • Part of a CFO transformation programme modernising the function through data and AI.
The ContextThe CFO Group is evolving through our Finance Fast Forward programme to become a contemporary, data-led and commercially impactful function. We are seeking to embed advanced analytics, automation and AI to enhance insight, challenge and value creation across the organisation.Investment Management comprises ~700 colleagues globally, including 370+ Investment Professionals operating across Equities, Fixed Income, Multi-Asset, Systematic and Real Estate strategies. The business is led by the Head of Asset Management and supported by a dedicated small, tight knit Business Finance team.Your ImpactYou will shape financial insight, influence strategic decisions and enhance performance across Investment Management. Key areas of focus include:Strategic Finance Partnering
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior IM leaders.
  • Translate financial analysis into clear commercial recommendations.
  • Represent Finance in selected IM forums and initiatives.
Performance Insight & Narrative
  • Deliver high-quality performance reporting and analysis.
  • Provide oversight and quality assurance of reporting inputs.
  • Drive consistency, quality, utility and timeliness to reporting.
  • Articulate drivers, risks and sensitivities with clarity and authority.
  • Develop compelling financial narratives that drive action.
Planning & Forecasting Leadership
  • Support delivery of annual budget, forecasts and multi-year planning.
  • Enhance forward-looking insight and scenario modelling capability.
Value Creation & Investment Appraisal
  • Develop business cases, pricing analysis and investment appraisals.
  • Provide modelling support for strategic initiatives and periodic M&A activity.
  • Identify structural opportunities to improve operating leverage.
Finance Transformation & Capability
  • Drive simplification, standardisation and automation of IM finance processes.
  • Leverage data and AI to improve insight and decision support.
  • Support capability development across UK and global finance teams
About YouWe are looking for individuals with a strong foundation in analytical finance and a proven ability to operate at senior levels. You will bring:
  • Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • A keen interest in and experience of the Investment Management industry.
  • Advanced financial modelling capability.
  • Strong commercial judgement and intellectual rigour.
  • Confidence in engaging and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to distil complex analysis into clear strategic insight and recommendations.
  • Experience operating within international, matrixed organisations.
  • A data-first mindset, with interest in leveraging advanced analytics and AI to drive business outcomes.
You are credible, analytical and outcome-oriented — comfortable operating at pace while maintaining precision.
