About the Role

As a Workflow Systems Analyst at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing workflow tooling at scale. You'll be instrumental in enabling teams to produce high-quality software through world-class engineering experiences, efficient workflows, and actionable data insights. Your work will directly impact how our engineering teams build, test, and ship software that powers devices used by millions worldwide.

  • Dashboard Development: Create compelling visualizations of key metrics and progress toward organizational goals using advanced Tableau skills. You'll transform raw data into intuitive dashboards that tell stories and enable data-informed decision-making.
  • Analytical Partnership: Serve as the insight and visualization expert for our talented team of Data Scientists and Engineers, helping translate complex analyses into actionable business recommendations.
  • Iterative Design: Lead dashboard design iterations by presenting findings to teams, gathering feedback, and continuously improving end products to meet evolving business needs.
  • Workflow Characterization: Profile complex systems, document current states, and identify target areas for improvement across our engineering workflows.
  • Insights Generation: Uncover patterns and trends in large datasets, turning information into strategic advantages for the organization.
  • Change Leadership: Work directly with partners to drive action and translate insights into measurable wins across the organization.
  • Metrics Development: Develop key performance indicators and recommend policy changes that support organizational objectives.
  • Executive Communication: Deliver action plans to leadership at all levels, translating complex technical findings into clear business recommendations.

Who You Are

We're seeking a passionate problem-solver who thrives on turning data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate brings a combination of technical expertise, business acumen, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at every level of the organization.

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or in a similar analytical role.
  • Analytics Expertise: Solid working knowledge of analytics methodologies including visualization, statistics, and the full Analytics Maturity Curve (Descriptive, Diagnostic, Predictive, and Prescriptive analytics).
  • Data Visualization: Advanced proficiency in Tableau for creating sophisticated dashboards and visualizations that drive business decisions.
  • SQL Proficiency: Strong SQL skills including aggregations, nested queries, and data inspection/validation capabilities.
  • Research to Insight: Ability to transform research into actionable insights, developing key metrics and recommending policy changes.
  • Communication: Demonstrated ability to present findings and deliver action plans to leadership at all levels.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Software Development Analytics: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DORA metrics, and LEAN software delivery methodologies.
  • Software Development Background: Understanding of build pipelines, merging processes, testing systems and methodologies, and code delivery practices.
  • Product Ownership: Experience taking full accountability for key project outcomes, including driving efforts and generating concrete results through analytics.
  • Project Management: Ability to plan and drive efforts across partner teams toward unified goals.
  • Technical Writing: Strong documentation skills for profiling complex systems and processes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working effectively across different teams and departments.
