Job Title:Shop Carpenter Apprentice (Great Benefits)

Pay: $18–$21/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (OT available)

Job Description:

Work with a leading supplier of building materials. We are seeking a reliable and motivated Truss Builder to join our production team. In this role, you will assist in building roof trusses and wall panels for residential and commercial construction projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble trusses and wall panels by placing parts in specific relationships

• Fasten materials using bolts, clips, screws, cement, and power tools

• Cut materials to precise measurements using hand and power tools

• Remove defective products to maintain quality standards

• Operate and tend machinery on the production line

• Rotate between workstations as production needs change

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

• Follow written work instructions and safety procedures

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 months’ experience using hand and/or power tools

• Ability to read a tape measure and follow work instructions

• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)

• Ability to stand, walk, and lift 25–50 lbs regularly (up to 100 lbs occasionally)

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, repetitive production environment

• Prior carpentry or construction experience is a plus, but not required

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Forest Lake, MN.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
