ABOUT THE POSITION

The Senior Regional Sales Representative drives growth by developing and executing strategic sales plans for regional accounts spanning Outdoor, Snowsports and Lifestyle Accounts. With a consumer and brand led mindset, this role focuses on building strong retail partnerships while optimizing profitability for both Mountain Hardwear and our partners. This position is responsible for both key and specialty accounts across California, Nevada, Arizona, and Hawaii.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Implement strategies to maintain and own account relationships within assigned territory.

  • Seeks to identify and execute sales opportunities with an enterprise mindset.

  • Constructs, communicates, and executes sales plans and forecasts externally and internally.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support a best-in-class business.

  • Gathers marketplace intelligence and consumer insights to execute brand strategy.

  • Delivers compelling seasonal product presentations utilizing elevated and persuasive storytelling and directive selling techniques.

  • Travel up to 50% of the time: including but not limited to mandatory attendance at tradeshows year-round, ongoing territory visits, attend meetings at HQ and actively attend and participate in grassroots brand activations and servicing national accounts and training retails staff as needed.

YOU ARE

  • Able to develop and execute specialty and key brick and mortar dealers’ strategy with sales team. 

  • Able to be decisive and empowered to make decisions when necessary.

  • An outdoor enthusiast, passionate about an active lifestyle.

YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience.

  • Typically requires 5-8 years of professional experience and strong competency with the various tools, systems, or procedures required to accomplish the job.

  • 5-8 years of experience in sales of Apparel, Footwear, Equipment, and/or equivalent industry merchant experience 

  • Proven success meeting deadlines and sales/revenue goals in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with elements of ambiguity. 

  • Experience working within integrated cross-functional teams with the ability to establish effective working relationships internally and externally. 

  • Advanced knowledge of retail analytics. 

  • Advanced interpersonal skills, including relationship building, as well as strong persuasive speaking and proven negotiation abilities. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Applications and Power BI.

  • Time management skills to handle sample lines, territory travel, tear down and set ups, while maintaining order book and shipments.
