Your Role

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for EMD Serono is responsible for providing scientific and educational support, cultivating relationships with key opinion leaders, representing EMD Serono at medical events, and coordinating medical initiatives regionally and nationally. The role involves extensive regional travel and requires advanced scientific knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain collaborative relationships.

Location: Field-based. Assigned Territory: Northeast (Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide scientific, clinical, and educational support to thought leaders and decision-makers
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with Key Thought Leaders
  • Disseminate state-of-the-art research and medical concepts related to cancer treatment
  • Lead Medical Affairs activities in the assigned region
  • Represent EMD Serono at medical events and conventions
  • Communicate research and development concepts to internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate with Clinical Development and Medical Affairs for clinical research studies
  • Act as a liaison for Investigator Sponsored Studies (ISS) program
  • Maintain visitation records for the territory
  • Monitor budget expenditures and ensure compliant use of field material
  • Demonstrate EMD Serono's values, behaviors, and high impact culture

 

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications

  • PharmD, PhD, MD, DO, or equivalent education
  • Excellent communication and networking skills
  • Ability to maintain collaborative relationships within a dynamic team environment
  • Comfortable with extensive regional travel
  • Reside within or near the assigned territory, or willing to relocate

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years clinical or pharmaceutical experience in Oncology
  • Prior experience as a field medical science liaison (required for Sr. MSL role)

Pay Range for this position: $154,600 - 231,800 The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
