This is a 100% remote position

About your new role:

As a Quality Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in elevating the quality, reliability, and efficiency of our software through the design and implementation of automated testing solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance test coverage, automate validation processes, and ensure the highest standards of quality across our PHP (Laravel) and React platforms.

We are seeking someone passionate about building robust, scalable test automation frameworks and contributing to a culture of quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for unit, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing across PHP (Laravel) and React platforms.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to integrate test automation into CI/CD workflows, ensuring fast and reliable software releases.
  • Contribute to quality engineering initiatives, including test coverage reporting, benchmarking, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support the adoption of TDD, BDD, and other automation best practices while maintaining technical documentation for processes and frameworks.
  • Takes on additional responsibilities and projects as needed to support the success of the team and organization.

What you'll need for success:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant experience.
  • Interest in automation, quality engineering, and scalable test solutions.
  • Familiarity with TypeScript, PHP, JavaScript (React), and testing tools (e.g., Playwright and Cypress).
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, cross-browser testing, and test coverage metrics.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills with a commitment to continuous learning.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience with Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD tools.
  • Exposure to security testing, performance testing, or quality monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with TDD, BDD, and software quality metrics.
