Responsibilities:
As a Senior Data Science Analyst at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:
- Running unconditional exploratory data analysis to identify novel ideas and opportunities
- Planning and running A/B tests of our latest proposal calculations
- Proactively monitoring our suggestion models to identify potential issues, determine root causes, and resolve them
- Building new tools that enable us to be more efficient and effective
- Working closely with our product, engineering, and AI partners to drive business outcomes
- Communicating key insights and recommendations to cross-functional senior leaders across the organization
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A strong background in software engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or other quantitative disciplines
- Experience in data science with e-commerce companies is a plus
- In-depth knowledge of SQL (including capabilities, query optimization, stored procedures, string parsing, Vertica/Hive/Voila/Flash, etc.)
- In-depth knowledge of Python and Python libraries (Jupyter notebooks, capabilities, pandas, scikit-learn, matplotlib, etc.)
- Experience with experimental design (A/B tests) and statistical analysis to drive business-driven decisions is a plus
- Familiarity with AI algorithms/techniques (decision trees, random forests, deep learning, etc.) within a business setting is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative attitude
- Ability to work collaboratively and proactively with partners
- Demonstrated history of taking ownership and driving results in a fast-paced environment
- Strong business acumen, scientific skills, and technical abilities, along with critical thinking skills
