About The Role

The Product Localization Coordinator acts as a central project manager across multiple language teams to ensure required software localization work is done on time and in scope. This role is responsible for managing the process of adapting software features for different languages and cultures by coordinating with language specialists, overseeing translation and managing work distribution, project timelines, budgets, and quality control. The role involves significant cross-functional collaboration and communication with internal teams and external contractors to serve as a liaison, resolving discrepancies, ensuring localization projects are delivered with excellence and on schedule, contributing to the delivery of high-quality software features that are culturally appropriate for its target market as well as provide the best user experience within Logos Bible Software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project management: Manage the end-to-end localization workflow, ensuring timely delivery and high quality across global markets and different localization areas such as:
    • UI: desktop, mobile, WebApp
    • License distribution platform
    • Help files
    • Zendesk articles
    • Email templates
    • Proprietary datasets
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with multiple teams across the organization and external contractors across multiple time zones to ensure software localization projects fulfil their requirements and are executed on time.
  • Cultural and linguistic quality assurance: Ensure features are not just translated but also relevant in the target culture and accurate in a technical and functional sense in the context of Logos Bible Software.
  • Resource & Capacity Planning: Help balance team workloads, manage deadlines, and anticipate bottlenecks to keep projects on track.
  • Project Tracking & Reporting: Use a combination of internal tools such as JIRA, to track progress, increase efficiency, identify risks, and report on key milestones keeping stakeholders informed and aligned throughout project execution.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of project management/coordination expertise that includes working cross-functionally in a professional setting
  • Proficiency with translation management systems such as CrowdIn and TextUnited
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks on similar timelines
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Well organized, flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient with strong problem solving skills
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance and linguistic review workflows
  • Proficient in tools such as Microsoft Office and Google Business Apps
  • Competence in project management tools such as JIRA
  • Basic understanding of HTML/XML

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in localization project management, preferably in software localization
  • Familiarity with Logos Bible Software
