SUMMARY:   Responsible for the oversight of the Institute’s inquiry and admission of new students at our online campus.  This position supervises all Online Admissions Representatives and is responsible to meet or exceed the company’s new student objectives.   

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBLITIES, AND EXPECTATIONS:  

• Direct the admissions process from point of inquiry through second course;

• Ensure Admissions Representatives are in compliance with all policies, and federal and state regulations regarding admissions, financial aid, transfer of credits, non-guarantee of placement and potential earnings;

• Present the school to prospective students, which includes systematic and efficient handling of applications and communication with candidates; tours of the institution; interviews with candidates; arrangements for admissions testing; securing of necessary student credentials; and communicating final decisions to the appropriate individuals; 

• Promote good relationships and create networking opportunities and support for representatives with outside institutions or groups that can be helpful in attracting quality students. Attend outreach opportunities in the community;

• Notify applicants in writing of acceptance status;

• Build a professional relationship with students to assist the staff in maintaining and improving the student retention and successful completion;

• Manage the re-entry of current students for the succeeding year with constant monitoring of attrition and retention;

• Maintain all admissions records mandated by the company, and state, accrediting and federal agencies;

• Keep relevant statistics on all aspects of the admission and re-entry;

• Manage the admissions team and provide training targeted at improving performance;

• Identify strengths and weaknesses of Admissions Representatives by utilizing all statistical data available and determine what corrective measures should be utilized;

• Communicate to the Campus Director any obstacles standing in the way of achieving goals;

• Ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely manner (including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, meeting notes, vacation requests, performance evaluations, and counseling memos), ensure a minimum 95% admissions file accuracy at all times;

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in admissions or closely related field;

• Bachelors Degree highly preferred; some post-secondary education required;

• Some management experience in post secondary education or related industry highly preferred;

• Marketing and promotional experience.
