Utilities Right of Way Agent - Ohio - (1635)

ORC is one of America’s most respected right-of-way acquisition firms, offering purpose, stability, and growth. The Utilities Right of Way Agent will acquire Right-of-Way rights for distribution and electrical transmission and distribution line projects, support project managers, and conduct property research while communicating with property owners.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire Right-of-Way rights for distribution and electrical transmission and distribution line projects in accordance with project guidelines and regulations
  • Support the Project Manager (PM) and project team members
  • Prepare real estate documents
  • Conduct basic property research for ownership and boundary information
  • Communicate with property owners and their representatives regarding right of way acquisition
  • Perform general administrative tasks

Skills

  • Minimum of one (1) year of Right of Way Acquisition experience
  • Active Ohio Notary OR the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Must have an iOS or Android smartphone to be able to access ORC's systems
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Works efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines
  • Can prioritize and balance multiple tasks
  • Demonstrates strong organization and planning skills
  • Is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Thrives in a fast-paced administrative setting
  • Provides strong customer service experience
  • Can adapt to new systems and software environments
