The Opportunity

This is a contract role.

The Translations Department is accountable for the translation, revision and quality assurance of a variety of administrative documents and internal communications. Reporting to the Translations Supervisor, the Coordinator, Translations collaborates closely with the translators and multiple departments within the organization to answer their copywriting, terminology and translation needs. McDonald’s Restaurants of Canada Limited is currently looking for a contractual Coordinator, Translations (1-year) who will be working remotely.

Duties

Translation Project Management

  • Coordinate end‑to‑end translation projects in FlowFit (translation management system).
  • Manage urgent requests, shifting deadlines, and scope changes as needed.
  • Provide first‑level support for FlowFit system questions and user issues.

Communication & Stakeholder Support

  • Advise internal teams on translation best practices, timelines, and requirements.
  • Coordinate with freelance translators on project details, timelines, and expectations.

 

Administrative Support

  • Assist the Translation team with proofreading of documents prior to printing.
  • Maintain Translation Memories and terminology databases to ensure consistency.
  • Track and reconcile vendor invoices.
  • Provide general administrative support as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–2-year experience in a professional setting.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and balance short‑term priorities with ongoing projects.
  • Strong computer skills across a range of software tools, including MS Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Problem-solving.
  • Fluently bilingual (English/French), both written and oral.

Bilingualism (French, English) – For this position, as the employee is based in Montreal, French will be the primary language of business. In addition to the knowledge of French, the position of  Coordinator, Translations (contract) requires strong oral and written English skills. Following an assessment, we have determined that the duties related to the position of Coordinator, Translations (contract) requires the knowledge of English, in addition to French (both oral and written). This position requires, among other things, the person to communicate orally and in writing with national departments, suppliers and franchisees located outside of the province of Quebec, including in Ontario and Atlantic Canada. 

Salary Range

The expected salary range for this role is $50,155 - $66,873 per year   The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we may also consider your experience, and other job-related factors.
