Business Development Manager - Work Comp - Minnesota/Wisconsin

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for achieving profitable growth performance objectives within their assigned territory (MN and WI). The Business Development Manager is accountable for profitably growing their assigned Workers’ Compensation portfolio by identifying new agency relationships, building on existing ones, and the overall development and management of professional business relationships. This role will create and implement tactical plans in support of long-term territory specific strategies.

This position offers a home-based work opportunity. The successful candidate must reside in the assigned territory which includes the states of Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Frequent travel with some overnight stays will be required (50-75% travel).

Job Requirements

  • Five or more years of previous insurance underwriting, marketing/business development, sales, workers’ compensation insurance experience, or other related experience required.
  • Strong influencing, sales and presentation skills
  • Proven decision making and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven collaboration skills
  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Valid drivers’ license required
