We are seeking a passionate and motivated Advanced or Specialist NDIS Registered Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our expanding team. Key Selection Criteria: In this role, you will plan and implement evidence-based, high-quality positive behaviour support, assess the influences on a person’s behaviour, and provide intervention services for participants with a disability and their team.   Required registrations and experience:

  • NDIS Advanced or Specialist Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner Registration
  • Relevant experience and qualifications in one or more of the following areas: Behaviour Support, Education, Psychology, Social Work, Allied Health, Disability, or other relevant field
  • Registered with a relevant professional body (e.g., AHPRA)
As part of being an NDIS registered Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will have demonstrated skills and experience meeting the Advanced or Specialist Capability - Behaviour Support Practitioner level as outlined in the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission – Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework, and maintaining suitability to deliver Behaviour Support under the NDIS. Experience implementing Positive Behaviour Support, including:
  • Conducting functional behaviour assessments and creating behaviour support plans
  • Developing strategies for managing challenging behaviours and delivering behaviour support services 
  • Experience using person-centred approaches and Positive Behaviour Support, with an understanding of how they relate to challenging behaviours 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clear and concise information is presented to individuals, colleagues, teams, and other stakeholders 
  • Experience providing training, supervision, and support to diverse stakeholders 
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify problems, develop solutions, and create change using a logical and systematic approach 
  • Professional practice with a strong understanding of confidentiality and professional boundaries 
  • High level of interpersonal skills to build relationships with team members, participants, and stakeholders, and manage sensitive or emotionally charged situations
  • Knowledge of State Disability Services Acts and the National Quality and Safeguards Framework as they relate to restrictive practices and behaviour support

Desirable: 

  • Experience coordinating supports for people living with a disability, their families, and support networks
  • Experience and proficiency providing services via telehealth and online platforms
  • Experience using Cliniko or similar client management systems (CMS)
  • Interest in technology and using this to engage with clients

  • NDIS registered Behavioural Support Practitioner number
  • Working with Children Check 
  • Right to Work in Australia
