Business Development Representative (f/m/d) - Remote in the US

Remote · USA Full-time New today

About the position Synera is on a mission to accelerate engineering with AI. We’ve built the industry’s leading AI Agent platform for engineering teams, enabling companies to turn complex, manual workflows into automated processes — cutting weeks of engineering work down to minutes. Our AI agents integrate seamlessly with the tools engineers already use, remove bottlenecks in real-world product development, and help deep-tech companies move faster without compromising quality. In a world where engineering speed is a competitive advantage, Synera is defining the new standard. Today, we’re a fast-growing team, primarily based in Germany, and we’re rapidly expanding our Sales teams in Germany and the United States to support increasing demand from innovative deep-tech companies. If you’re excited about selling cutting-edge AI, working close to the market, and building something early — and if you have big plans for your future — now is the right time to join us. Let’s build the future of engineering together. As a Business Development Manager at Synera, your focus is on growing and expanding our existing customer base. You’ll work closely with Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to identify opportunities for cross-sell and upsell — introducing customers to new features, AI agents, and modules that unlock even more value. You’ll be at the intersection of customer needs, product value, and revenue growth. That means understanding how customers use Synera today, spotting where additional automation or AI agents make sense, and turning those insights into expansion opportunities. This role is ideal if you enjoy relationship-based selling, strategic conversations, and helping customers get more value — while still being hands-on and close to revenue.

  • Identify, qualify, and drive cross-sell and upsell opportunities within our existing customer base.
  • Partner closely with Account Executives and Customer Success to plan and execute expansion strategies.
  • Learn how customers use Synera today, what challenges they face, and where additional AI agents or features create value.
  • Clearly explain new features, modules, and use cases — always tying them back to customer outcomes and business impact.
  • Build and manage an expansion pipeline, from opportunity identification to deal support and close.
  • Share insights from customer conversations with Product and GTM teams to help shape future features and positioning.

Requirements

  • You resonate with Synera's Core Values - they're central to how we work, and we'll explore them together in your first interview.
  • You have solid and proven experience in outbound activities in B2B SaaS environment.
  • You can showcase your track record with convincing results (e.g. overachieving quota for multiple quarters).
  • You are able to pitch complex technical solutions (bonus if you have experience in AI, CAD, CAE, or engineering automation).
  • You handle rejections and iterate quickly, you are resilient with a growth mindset.
  • You know CRM systems, cold outreach tools, and LinkedIn prospecting (e.g. Salesforce, Clay, Sales Navigator, Aircall).
  • You enjoy hunting for opportunities!

Benefits

  • Flexible working: you decide when & where to work (as long as you have a residency in the US).
  • Flexible public holidays: swap days off according to your values and beliefs!
  • Home office setup support + access to our office in Bremen, or co-working space in Boston.
  • Personal development budget of $2,500. You’ll also have the chance to grow together with us!
  • We don't count your vacation days as we trust all our team members to decide what's best for them and the company.
  • Access to the mental health platform nilo to support your well-being.
  • We support you with health insurance, and a 401(k) savings plan.
  • Regular team events, virtual coffee breaks, and spontaneous afterworks. We also get together as a whole company for 2-3 day off-sites in Germany twice a year!
