Civil Litigation Associate (Habitability)

The Landlord/Tenant/Habitability role involves representing landlords and property management companies regarding building safety and health code issues, with associates engaging in all phases of litigation from case evaluation to trial presentation.
Responsibilities
- Attending court hearings, participating in site inspections, taking and defending depositions
- Drafting extensive written discovery, including preparing and responding to interrogatories, documents requests and request for admissions
- Evaluating, analyzing, assessing, and executing litigation strategies
- Proactively manage communications with clients throughout the course of litigation
Skills
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
- Active membership in the California State Bar and in good standing
- Demonstrated experience in civil litigation, preferably within a law firm setting
- 1+ years of civil litigation experience
- Excellent time management skills and ability to manage and meet deadlines
