[Remote] Software Developer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Rockwell Automation is a global technology leader focused on helping manufacturers be more productive and sustainable. They are seeking a Software Developer to join their micro-service development teams, where the candidate will contribute to the development of scalable micro-services and collaborate with senior developers.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of scalable micro-services
- Collaborate with senior developers and teammates on design discussions, code reviews, and deployment processes
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code under guidance from senior team members
- Perform independent research to understand new tools, frameworks, and patterns
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Help integrate micro-services with frontend applications and other backend systems
- Support testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of services in development and production
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience
- Legal authorization to work in Canada is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening
- 1+ years experience with Java, C#, or another general-purpose programming language
- Understanding of object-oriented programming and RESTful API principles
- Basic familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Exposure to AWS services (Lambda, ECS, S3, etc.)
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts using tools like Terraform
- Familiarity with Angular and TypeScript
- Experience working in an Agile or DevOps environment
