Business Development Representative

Blackpoint Cyber is the leading provider of world-class cybersecurity threat hunting, detection and remediation technology. They are seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to identify opportunities, communicate with prospects and clients, and recommend products and services that deliver value.

Responsibilities

  • Use HubSpot and other tools to contact marketing-generated leads, as well as prospects from business directories and other list sources
  • Reach out via phone, email, and other channels to discuss prospects’ needs and explain how Blackpoint’s solutions meet those needs
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues to share information, including lead qualification insights, selling strategies, and marketing updates
  • Build and maintain access to decision-makers and end-users within prospective client companies
  • Keep detailed and accurate account records in HubSpot
  • Develop a deep understanding of Blackpoint’s products and remain up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive insights
  • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual qualification targets and objectives
  • Conduct discovery calls, present demos, and demonstrate the value of Blackpoint’s products and services to potential buyers
  • Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline while working toward attaining quotas
  • Occasionally travel to industry trade shows and events to support pipeline growth and strengthen client relationships

Skills

  • You have a minimum of 1 year of experience in sales prospecting, ideally gained in a fast-paced technology company
  • You have ~1 year of hands-on experience with a CRM; HubSpot preferred
  • You have the drive and persistence to manage multiple opportunities while proactively developing new ones
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills and can easily adapt your messaging to suit different audiences
  • You have a strong sense of urgency with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage deadlines
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
