Job Title: Primary School Teaching Assistant - Full-Time, Merthyr Tydfil Location: Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales, UK Salary: £88.92 per day (DOE) Job Description: Are you passionate about supporting young learners and making a positive impact in primary education? We are seeking a dedicated Primary School Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Merthyr Tydfil. This full-time, long-term role offers an exciting opportunity to work within the foundation phase, helping create a nurturing learning environment for early years students. Key Responsibilities: Provide effective support within the classroom to assist the teacher in delivering engaging lessons. Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for all pupils. Support with classroom management and behavioural guidance. Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources. Work collaboratively with teachers to track student progress and support individual needs. Encourage student participation and confidence in their learning journey. Ensure the health and safety of all pupils during activities. Candidate Requirements: Prior experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar role within a primary school setting (preferred). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Enthusiastic, patient, and committed to supporting children's development. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Flexible and reliable attitude. Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one. Working Hours & Benefits: Full-time, long-term contract, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.
