Role Description
This role involves collaborating with a leading AI lab on a groundbreaking new project focused on developing and evaluating advanced AI systems designed to reason through complex mathematical problems.
- Contribute mathematical expertise to the design and evaluation of AI-generated reasoning and solutions
- Review AI outputs on challenging mathematical tasks for accuracy, rigor, and logical soundness
- Provide structured feedback on clarity, reasoning depth, and problem-solving approach
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers to refine model reasoning and performance
Qualifications
- Strong background in competition mathematics (e.g. AMC, AIME, USAMO, IMO, or Putnam-level experience)
- Deep understanding of problem-solving in algebra, combinatorics, number theory, and geometry
- Excellent logical reasoning and written communication skills
- Background in mathematics, computer science, physics, or related field (high school, undergraduate, or graduate level welcome)

Project Timeline
- Start Date: Immediate
- Duration: 6 weeks
- Commitment: Part-time (20+ hours/week)
- Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronous – flexible working hours
Compensation & Contract
- $80 USD/hour (independent contractor)
- Top performers may receive weekly bonus incentives based on performance and throughput
