Why this role matters:

At Vonage, this role is essential to ensuring our customers can trust that their communications are secure and compliant with evolving global regulations. Your key responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain compliance-focused products such as privacy audit platforms, regulatory reporting tools, and workflows for handling data subject requests.

  • Automate audit and compliance controls, supporting processes for evidence management, risk scoring, and regulatory reporting.
  • Conduct privacy impact assessments for new compliance products and major features, articulating risks and technical mitigations to product managers and legal/compliance stakeholders
  • Integrate compliance products with core business systems (e.g. BI) for end-to-end data flow visibility and privacy management.
  • Provide technical privacy expertise to help product managers build privacy-compliant products outside the compliance toolkit, supporting best practices like data minimization, redaction, retention, and incident management.
  • Document system architecture, controls, and compliance flows to ensure defensibility to auditors and straightforward user experience for legal teams and product managers.

What you’ll bring

  • Expert knowledge in Java (Spring Framework), AWS.
  • Hands-on experience designing and shipping compliance and Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) software solutions (audit, reporting, evidence management, etc.).
  • Advanced programming and software design skills relevant for API-driven compliance platforms and cloud-native environments.
  • Deep understanding of privacy law and frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, ISO 27701, SOC 2, HIPAA) and strong ability to operationalize regulations as technical controls/product features.
  • Demonstrated history of partnering with product managers and legal stakeholders to prioritize, distill, and deliver technical privacy solutions.
  • Experience with risk assessment, auditing, and documentation for regulatory evidence and privacy incidents
  • Familiarity with modern privacy protection tooling, including data redaction, encryption, and retention/access controls

Experience we consider a plus

  • Experience building agentic AI solutions would be desirable.
  • Front end experience would be desirable: Vue, React, Typescript or any other popular frontend framework.

  • Life Insurance – Allianz Family
  • Kafeteria – My Benefit
  • Ericsson Care Line
  • Discretionary Time Off (DTO)
