The Role

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will create tests to assure stable software solutions and will be part of a cross-functional team responsible for identifying any potentical issues with Datacor's ERP software before a product release. We are looking for someone who is comfortable writing test cases and is able to understand requirements and assure these requirements fulfill company standards before releasing them.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a knowledge of Smoke, User Interface, Component, API and E2E testing
  • Create manual test cases
  • Create automation test cases
  • Document and report bugs
  • Ensure products meet requirements and maintain standards

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with coursework in computer science, engineering, or information technology, or a work history that demonstrates proficiency in software testing
  • Proven experience in Quality Assurance or a similar role
  • Working knowledge of data/database technologies (SQL, Access)
  • Basic knowledge of multiple languages, libraries and frameworks (e.g. JS, C#, VB.NET)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills (this person will be working with team members based in Costa Rica and the US and must be fluent in English)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Test Complete
  • Experience using Jira
  • Experience using Zephyr
