About the role

The Business Development Representative's (BDR’s) main focus is engaging with our prospective customers via our inbound channels to understand their goals, priorities and challenges and determining whether DataCamp’s solutions can address those needs. Success in this role is highly dependent on your attention to detail, curiosity, consistency, and professional persistence. This role is 4 days in the office.

Your initiative and entrepreneurial spirit push you beyond just meeting targets—you aim to understand the "why" behind our goals and take ownership to drive the business forward. You’re a collaborative team player who values transparency and always seeks to improve and innovate. If this sounds like you, we encourage you to apply!

Responsibilities

  • Engage with inbound leads through personalized outreach across multiple channels, including chat, email, LinkedIn, and phone.
  • Qualify leads by uncovering their goals, challenges, and urgency while demonstrating genuine curiosity and respect.
  • Maintain a steady pipeline by creatively identifying new outreach strategies during slower inbound periods.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of data in Salesforce, keeping all lead and account information up-to-date.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, DataCamp’s product developments, and content updates to offer prospects relevant insights.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Resilient and positive attitude with a strong drive to achieve and exceed goals.
  • Proactive, self-starting approach, with a focus on achieving autonomy in your responsibilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and comfort in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Eagerness to build a career in sales or technology, with a passion for helping businesses succeed.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in a corporate environment, ideally in software or ed-tech sales, is a plus.

At DataCamp, we value diverse experiences and perspectives. If you’re excited about this role but don't meet every qualification, we still encourage you to apply.
